WHOLE DAYS ON VARIOUS ITINERARIES
AND A SPECIAL HALF-DAY PACKAGE,
ALL DEALING WITH FREERIDING WITH SPECIALIST TEACHERS

Freeride Ski Course

PRECONDITIONS:

• The maximum number for each course is 6 people
• The course lasts for 2 full days
• Participants need to be able to ski black slopes
• Required equipment: freeride skis, helmet, back guard, backpack with snow shovel, arva and probe. The price to rent the equipment by the ski school is 60 € per person
• At the end of the course every participant will receive a DVD with pictures and videos of the 2 days
• Skiers and snowboarders cannot be mixed and therefore participants will be divided into different groups related to their discipline
• To better organize groups, we would appreciate advance bookings

PROGRAMME

1st day:

Meeting point by the Marmolada ski school (Canazei) at 8.30 a.m.

Check on equipment and distribution of the gear rented by the ski school 

Ascent at Belvedere and level examination

Lesson focusing on freeride techniques

Free ride run (easy level): itineraries will be chosen considering the level of groups

Theoretical lesson about the use of self-rescue tools

2nd day:

Ascent at Marmolada, Pordoi or Sella

Lesson focusing on freeride technique

Free ride run (Medium/hard level): itineraries will be chosen considering the level of groups

Introduction to the advanced course

Practice using arva (in the late afternoon)

Course prices: 500 € for 1-3 people, 650 € for 4-6 people.

Lift ticket is not included in the course price

It's possible to extend the course for 3 more days (advanced course) paying an additional cost.

During the advanced course location and itineraries will be changed, and what's more a taste of “extreme freeride” will be experienced!

Freeride Ski Tour

• Marmolada freeride (all day) 280 €, groups of 1-4 people
• Val di Mesdì (half day) 160 €, groups of 1-3 people
• Val di Mesdì (half day) 250 €, groups of 3 max. 6 people
• Val Lasties (3 hours) 120 €, groups of 1-2 people
• Val Setus (all day) 280 €, groups of 1-4 people

The ski school organizes other itineraries that will be set based on participants number, snow and weather conditions.
Before each ski tour an equipment check will be carried out and some information about self-rescue will be given (use of snow shovel, arva and probe).   

Each participant needs to be equipped with: freeride skis, helmet, back guard and backpack with snow shovel, arva and probe. It is possible to rent this equipment by the ski school rental shop paying 40,00 € per person.

Freeride Ski Day

• 3 hours skiing off-piste with a ski instructor specialized in freeride
• Mini-course that consists in:
  • check on equipment
  • self-rescue information
  • basic techniques on easy terrain
  • skiing discovering different itineraries
     
• The cost is 120 € per person
• Extra cost: 20 € for every next person

THE USE OF BOTH HELMET AND BACK GUARD IS COMPULSORY!
